TRUE STORY: Twenty one years ago, I was working in Guest Services at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel downtown. I’d had my Real Estate license for a year, and had been praying about going full-time. One slow morning at the hotel, I was looking at a Gideon’s Bible and there were different verses for different situations. Proverbs 3:5-6 was under “In Times of Decision” so I read…”Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” It was what I needed to hear, and two weeks later, I was a full time Realtor! (aka…no sell, no eat.😳) A week or so after that, I was introduced to Jim Lee…a local builder and remodeler. He came to my parents home and talked to me about what he did and how I could help. Before he left, we exchanged business cards and I was SO EXCITED!! It was totally a “God thing”…SUCH a confirmation! My Dad and I were taking about it, when I flipped Mr Lee’s card over to see the back. There on his card, (I kid you not…) was Proverbs 3:5-6…typed out just like I saw it in that Bible weeks before. AMAZING. I have chills right now typing this. I’ll never forget it and ever since, I’ve had that same verse on the back of MY cards too! Mr Lee pretty much kept me in business over the next several years. I owe him a lot and I’m glad to call him a friend!
